Can't find post on plug wires

I saw a post a few days? ago but can't find it. I want to replace the plug wires on My '72 (350/350 with ram horn exaust). I think the post mentioned using plugs for a big block or for a '75 corvette but not sure?????????? They were worried about getting wires that weren't too short. My wires run under the manifolds and I have an HEI dist.
Guess I want to know what to tell the teenager at the counter at O'rileys'--I was going to get Borg Warner wires.
Mike

I like a universal(cut & fit wire set). I have been running Accel 300+ wires, but have replacea a couple with MSD spiral core wires(1 wire to fit the Hooker headers,& 1 to add an external coil). I have to say that I am really impressed with the crimp tools that come with the msd wires,& will be running a full set when the cash alows for a ready to go set of wires, the sb Vette wires should fit the bill........not sure on the yr, but I think '75 is correct. good luck, crazyL

Mike,
I was the one asking the question. I bought a set of NAPA wires 700254 I believe the number was which was for a 75 350 vette. The wires are long enough to allow me to run them where I like them. Mike if you go to NAPA you can check the part number in the book and it will tell you the lengths of each wire in the set. Most of those boys can be a little clueless but the information is in the book, I saw it with my own eyes. I think I'll still remember the 4 longest wires were 48" 48" 52" 53". I don't remeber the shorter wire lengths.

just so you guys know, I ordered a date coded set from Classic Industires. They are made by Universal wire and are the only set I've ever bought for this old truck that actually fits. And you can get them stamped with your model year, mine say "Packard 1-Q-71" They are also high quality with a little thicker insulation than the parts stores ones that I've used. They cost me about $70.
