71/72 throttle linkage

I bought a gas pedal conversion plate from LFD to switch over my 70 gas pedal to the 71/72 set up. I have found the pedal assembly but do not have the cable that hooks it up to the carb linkage. Does anyone have a Napa part number for this or is it a LMC item?

Also it is missing the stainless steel surround. Can you still get those?

Re: 71/72 throttle linkage

I have a Edelbrock 650 performer carb. Do you think I will need the 24" or 21.375" long cable?

I tried seaching for the lokar linkage but had no luck. I bet the look good.

The Lokar stuff is spendy, but I had to go with it because I had a Lokar kickdown setup already . Here's a link with pics: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s....php?p=3810086

Re: 71/72 throttle linkage

Do I need to buy anything besides the cable to run the stock cable set up? Like any brackets that bolt to the manifold to hold the cable from moving? I still can’t find any info on what length I need as well. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: 71/72 throttle linkage

You'll need a carb bracket. Don't know if those lengths listed are housing or cable lengths. Can't help there. It'll depend on your setup, intake, carb, motor location. The nice thing about the Lokar setup is it's custom fit and adjustable. I used a 24" Lokar cable and had to cut it down to size. Good luck.

Does that include the carb bracket and shipping?

No carb bracket. Add a couple $ for shipping.

Re: 71/72 throttle linkage

I'll take the other one if it's still available? Moved my engine forward when I put in the 700R4 and have been goofing with throttle cables ever since.
