ECE shock relocator & leafs
Does anyone know if ECE's rear shock relocator kit would work with a leaf spring rear? I will be getting their lowered leaf springs soon, & since I need lowered front shocks anyway, might as well get the whole thing.

No it will not. The Early Classics Shock Relocating kit is for the coil spring trucks. Both the top and bottom brackets are different in the leaf spring trucks. The early Classic kit requires you to remove the original top bracket that is rivetted to the crossmember and then you bolt the new piece in. The leaf spring truck has the upper shock mount rivetted to the frame rail itself. I think that you can pop the rivets and just move the bracket about 2" toward the rear of the truck and then redrill and bolt them in place. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

Good Call Wes,
You can move the shock mounts back but you can switch them side to side and save yourself drilling new holes. Switching them fro the left to the right will get you shock angle back to where it need's to be. I can take a pitcure and post it this weekend. Mario
