WIW 72 longhorn box

I bought the pickup as a donor of its air dash and rear window slider. Box has a dent in the drivers side, missing passenger side front molding. Tailgate is beat up. What do ya think?

Re: WIW 72 longhorn box

it looks to have been repainted, so there's no tellin what's underneath that paint.

As much as it sucks to say... longhorn beds are not worth a whole heck of a lot. If you had one that was in mint condition, then you could get some cash. However, from what I've seen, $200 is about all you'd probably get, and even then, you'd end up sitting on it for a while.
I had one given to me, with the frame, complete suspention (disks up front) and a blown engine and junk tranny... he had tried selling it for a while and gave utp. It was an original paint, hardly a spot of rust on the outside... fair amount of dents... had some rust on the inside of the bed, and no wood to speak of. And he was unable to sell it.

Re: WIW 72 longhorn box

Why do you think it's repainted. I think it does have a differant tailgate though. Also whats the "400" engine?

Just a parts truck. The engine in it is a small block. Did they make 400 small block in 72?
