2 decades

It was 57 years ago in May that Sgt. Pepper taught the band to play, but it was 20 years ago today that I signed up here. In that time I too like Sgt. Pepper have “gone in and out of style”.
As we know “time marchs on” so “don’t blink”
I’ve noticed over the years my likes and dislikes have changed.
I listen to a little bit more country music and a little less rock these days.
It’s been probably 18 years since I’ve owned a tv. In the first couple of years I missed watching sports and the Sunday morning news shows. Now days it rarely crosses my mind. I would have watched the Olympics this year if I had a tv but, I’m ok not watching the spectacle these days.
I became an empty nester 2 years ago. I’ve probably run 5,000 miles since the beginning of 2020.
I haven’t own a 67-72 Chevy truck since October 2019. I’m hoping that changes soon.
At least one thing hasn’t changed for me in 20 years is how much I’ve enjoyed this place over the years. I’m not on as much as I used to be and I can’t imagine not logging on from time to time.
There are a lot of fine folks here. Too many names for me to mention from Already Gone to Zoomy.
Thanks Josh and Liz!!!
God Bless

Scott and I used to have some good conversations when we went to the All Truck Nationals in Riverside, Missouri. He is a really down to earth, great guy. We also traded trucks a few years ago and I am still driving the Blue '72 Dually I got from him.

It's good to see you post on here from time to time. I hope to meet up with you again some day....

Larry I’ve enjoyed your postings as well. If I remember correctly you play guitar?
Do you still pick?
As for my knees, I’ve never had an issues with em.
My hands and left elbow used bug me. Not so much anymore. Lately it’s been my feet from running and left hip if I do a lot of lvp. I’ve been a crusty old carpet layer for almost 40 years. I’ve always been too dumb to learn how to do anything else.

Hey Mark, that’s a two way street. You’ve been here a bit longer than me and I’ve always enjoyed your posts.

Leon I remember when I first met you. It was out at Randy’s place. You and Pat were sitting under a tent. A fellow from KC came down and put on a dent removal clinic. He had some talent.
I’ve always enjoyed visiting with you. You’ve got that old school cool vibe.
I too hope to see again some day.

Re: 2 decades

King,
I'm with you!!! I'm 65. Was in auto accident 2 years ago. I should be a quadriplegic or dead. I boke the C6 and T6 vertebrae. I went back to work as a mechanic 6 mo. after accident. Can't do everything I used to but am doing most of it.

Folks here ARE great to deal with. Nobody was a hissy fit over anything spoken about. Moderators have it easy here!!!
I have one TV and its the oldie type. I bought a converter box to get the free chennels, have not figured that out...yet...Glad I didn't see the olympics, especially the trash to start it out...
My coworker turned my radio on at work, to a country channel. It's really the only channel that comes in clearly. There's a song, God is great, beer is good, and people are crazy. If you listen to the whole song, you know how it goes. I actually have an old coworker friend who's Dad experianced what happened in that song, unbelieveable!!!

Congrats on all that running. I'm still recovering from my wreck. Walking is getting better!!!
Thanks, All!!!!~
