Question What door seals from other vehicles fit our trucks?

I've heard that Dakota or Durango door seals work, is this true? Any other cars or trucks I should look for. I have a 72 gmc. Thanks for the help guys.

I used the slip on from gmc pauls, think they were dakota and they do fine.

I've heard so much fussing and complaining just to get proper replacements to fit right. I don't know that using seals intended for an entirely different vehicle is going to be a very pleasant experience for you

GMC Pauls are easy to install (the hardest part is cleaning off the old glue) they fit nice and seal very well. They come in a roll with a little extra and are not pre formed

Agree. They are 10x better than the original glue on type. They seal perfectly and a five year old can install them with his eyes closed.

Dodge makes the best ones... '87-'97 Dodge Dakota, pick 'em up at your local salvage yard. You can find some nice ones for 5-10 bucks per pair. The nice thing is they are slip fit, you don't have to glue them on. Be sure to get the connector that joins them at the seam. Sometimes it falls out when you remove them. All you need to remove them is a phillips screwdriver, small hammer, and a small prybar. You have to cut about 3" off the length...

Re: What door seals from other vehicles fit our trucks?

I grabbed mine out of a 200x model Silverado. Tahoe and gmc models will be the same. Had about ten inches to cut off. Just measure the perimeter of your door seal area and then measure the one you find in the junk yard if you want to be sure. It just pulls off and presses on. That simple
