'72 door screw question

The door screw below the vent window is blue on the drivers side and stainless steel or plated on the pass side. Is this normal or were they running out of parts that day?

Re: '72 door screw question

Mine are both Stainless..I guess they are there to streigthen the door panel if you look at some earlier trucks the panel or the welds by the wind wing come apart

Re: '72 door screw question

I don't have a photo of mine but they are stainless. The screw holds the inner and outer panels together. It replaced welds because of how difficult it is to get the wing (vent) window assembly installed with the inner and outer panels welded together.
