Lets see some P's!

..that is P-vans. Git yer minds out of the gutter!

I'll start, saw this P20 on Saturday down in Baltimore.

They may not be as cool as the C/K/T trucks, but they deserve some love too, I guess.

...and here are a couple others that aren't mine:

Great idea. These are cool! That white P10 belongs to a guy in Harrisburg who joined a few years ago. Can't recall his name now,but here's his little P next to my K at Carlisle:

Here's a neat ad...DIESEL!:

looking back over a previous post, is it it creepy to anyone else that the ice cream truck says "Watch Children" on the front? Is that what he's doing?

Re: Lets see some P's!

Stumbled across this old thread I started...so BUMP! And let's open it up to all 67-72 vans, while we're at it.

Re: Lets see some P's!

Some of those Step Vans may be earlier or later, since the style stayed the same so long. I think the horizontal grilles are pre-67. The same with the vans, they had flat windshield 64-66 and curved from 67-70. Then the bigger 3rd generation Vans came out. The 1st generation didn't come with V8s available. The 3rd generation ran from 71-96!!!

Re: Lets see some P's!

The one with the topper built on top, the windshield sure looks like a 67-72 windshield upsidedown.

A long time ago I thought it would be neat to make a motorcycle race truck out of a Panel truck. I just never had the gumption to do it.

And the vans especially the forward control ones are just to cool.

Re: Lets see some P's!

There's a 1985 p20 for sale near my location... I cannot post the picture but the guy says it has a 10' bed/box... It seems to have 8lugs wheels... What motor/trans combo can it have? The only negative thing I see is it has a reefer on the top but I guess it's easy to remove... What wheelbase could it be? It would be nice with some big wheels and porterbuilt setup! Could be interesting to see a stepvan bagged on dually wheels...

Problems with that are:
Almost impossible to import it to the US.
I saw several GMCs up there-none in the US, Whats a reefer top? I like reefer.
I may have to settle on a chevy-But really need the title to say GMC - im setting a coe cab on the frame. ide like a long wheel base like the orange one in the link and a 292 manual tranz

Visiting Quebec would be cool. but not this time of yr-couldn't stand the weather. half the p20's are titled as 1 ton,
or unspecified.
Sellers think its a -minus to refir to one as a 3/4 ton, --when actually its a+ as far as having to deal with any insurance company in the US. AAA wont even talk to an existing customer about 1 ton Dually anything.
And half the time they are imbeciles at listing the information about qvw even engine type etc.

Re: Lets see some P's!

About the reefer... There's a thermo-king unit on the top and it seems the interior is insulated. An easy thing to remove for someone who doesn't need it. Maybe what I said wasn't really clear but I think it's a 3/4ton, it's not a dually anyway... I was just saying that a stepvan on 22"semi dually wheels would look killer.
Your also right about the weather; winter is coming! You better wait down south
