camshaft bering question
when instaling a new cam, is it abselutly nessasary to change the cam berings? All the mags that i read never mention anything abbout changing cam berring.I know it wouldnt hert but can i go with original berring?

Just have a good visual inspection of them. They can be reused as long as there is no major wear on them. Cam bearing last a very long time.
Is your engine still in the vehicle? If not the bearings could be changed, but if it is in the vehicle, there is now way to change them without pulling it. ------------------ Sylvan Lake, Alberta, Canada 1970 Chevy C20 Custom Camper 402BB Turbo 400 trans.
