trans ???'s

i am replacing the trans in my 82 blazer. i have an identical trans...but its from a 2wd truck. can i just remove the tailhousing and bolt the transfer case on and ill be done? if not, what do i have to do to get the job done?

I think either way this might help altough it is for a 700r4 2wd to 4wd info

It would need to have the tail shaft and tail housing changed with your existing tranny in your blazer. So it could bolt to your transfercase and adapter..

The output shaft is differnt lenght. Most transmission shops wont change them out since it require takin the trans completly apart and since its down that far logic is may as well rebuild it.
