Project "Lot-Rot"

98 C2500, 7.4/4l80e.

Belonged to a neighbor who just let it sit and sit and sit.

5 gallons of heavily doctored Chevron Supreme (Heet, Seafoam and Lucas fuel treatment), and a new battery, it started righ up, and made it home.

Almost new Michelin's from my 87 V20, and it was rolling well. Changed all the fluids, new belt and hoses, filters everywhere, and a MAF, and it's running pretty good. It gets better with every tank with Techron Fuel System additive.

Very nice looking truck. What are your plans for it?

Re: Project "Lot-Rot"

Get it trustworthy enough to be able to get on the interstate, which my 87 V20 can't do with the TH400/4.56 gear.

It needs various pieces of trim here and there, and a sound system for certain. It had broken interior and exterior door handles, which I did right away. It also had a 5th wheel tailgate, so I found a good one in a yard, and cleaned it up. The bed is in pretty decent condition, minus the holes for the fifth wheel. The carpet needs replacing, I think it's too far stained to clean, though I'll give it a shot.

I might put a set of Bilsteins on it, still amazed at the ride quality compared to my solid axle truck.

Nice score, I need to find that, but in 4WD!
