Re: Hey ChiefRocka - Don't sell it......

Thanks guys.....Keep in mind I'm not going anywhere !!

Honestly, I dont think anybody has any money right now to be spending on an old truck...so far only one tire kicker.

Anyway, I think with the sale of the ski, I'll be good.

Just installed new shocks in the front, and it rides so much better.

Next step would be 3/4 ton lower arms, with 88 and up spindles and 6-lug discs !!

Hey, I was ready to buy five $50 raffle tickets - just to keep her in the family!

If I won I was going to to put my boat out on the driveway and your rig up behind the gate, and fire the ol' girl up twice a month till you bought her back!

Just wanted you to know we're watching out for you.

Mac.

I always thought your truck would look great with a flame thrower kit on it. Kids love to see that at cruiseins. . .

Talking Re: Hey ChiefRocka - Don't sell it......

I have seen some ole' school rat rods have that now. Most of them are straight six bangers. Some V8's. But Night Cruiseins are my fav. Me and my dad used to hit a lot of them. The coolest one I ever seen was a Flat Black and Red '58 Chevy Bel Air with 3 strongbergs belching out 12 foot flames! !
Rat Fink/Moon Eyes equipped!
Kids could Toast marsh mellows with those flames!

I've only had my truck for 6 months I'll never sell it. Good luck Chief. I hope all works out and you get to keep it. Sometimes it's hard to put on someone elses boots. I'm sure in the end it will work out for the best. Living day by day.

Re: Hey ChiefRocka - Don't sell it......

I don't want to sound like a dope, but you did do all the jumping through all the hoops finding out what you can afford and what you need for a down payment right?

I'm just saying with the market as crappy as its been lately some are gungho to let you buy their place. Of course the selling of an older place might be tough and I've even had a buddy or two put off selling to let the market go back to normal, which of course could take years.

With all that in mind I was just asking because I'd hate for you to sell your truck and realize you didn't have to later.

Don't forget home equity loans are at 1%. All you pay is the interest. 40,000 cost $100 a month. All things to think about. Hell, I use to spend twice that a month at the coffie place.

Ha ha!
"Chief", might as well take her off Craigslist. Everybodys getting all tore slap up about it!
It's Familia here at the Forum. Loosing a truck is like loosing your holmes, holme slice, hommie, bud,...
Ha ha.
Lived in San Antonio, TX for 3 years. Learned some slang!
Boy did I stand out like a sore thumb. If anyone is down there stay away from some stuff called, manitoba, and green chili's! Those chili's are Hot going in, and Hot coming out!

Hey Chief, Things do happen for a reason and something will work out. Family and friends always should come first. My truck doesn't give hugs and need tucked in at night or say i love you daddy. With your skills you can turn this into an opportunity. I have had to part with things I did not want to in the past, But it always worked out better .
