Yeah that is an insane price...but a nice truck. He worded the auction like he was trying to make it sound better than it was. He should have just let the pictures speak for themselves.

Exactly !

Even if I liked the truck (which I don't) I wouldn't give a penny over $8K........

Not to knock someone elses sale, but I think you could definatly build that truck for the staring bid. And a sweet azz crew cab to trailer it around on AND the gas it would take you to do that!

There is no doubt that is a very nice truck. I will be very surprised to see any bids on it due to the high opening bid. Regardless of the value of the truck really high opening bids scare away potential buyers.

I thought this comment was interesting- exclusive bicentennial yellow chrome body strips
The bicentennial was 1776 to 1976. I didn't know GM waited until 1977 to celebrate it

It is a nice truck. I don't have a problem with the way it looks, but $56k?
I think he doesn't want to sell it, his wife does. So he is like, "OK, honey I will sell it. I don't know why I am not getting any calls".

he's on crack

thats why he thinks its worth $56k , the drugs are making him hallucinate

heck if he gets $56k, look at all the more crack he can buy

if this retard gets that kind of $$$ for his truck, i should be able to get around $30k easy for mine

$56,000 (USD)!!!!! That's about $70,000 in my money (Canadian) - - that's crazy...

I have never had the opportunity or the money to rebuild a truck like this (hopefully some day soon), but I imagine I could build ALOT of truck for $70K.

I think nolowrider might be right - - he wants to make sure the truck doesn't sell.

hmmmmm, lets see. i bought a clean non wrecked (not a dent on it) 85 with a/c a couple months back for $500 i have a set of 20's on it now that i'll have $950 in when i get new tires. after i buy the rest of my paint and have my buddy shoot it i'll have $1100 in it + $200 for a new windshield installed. i'll spend about $500 to lower it. oh, and i just bought a new rebuilt 454 for $700 with all accesories. i don't do much interior work but mine is clean but it's pretty plain so let's say $500 spent on interior.

o.k. grand total $4450+/- a thou or 2 plus my build time.
so i can expect to profit 50 grand or so, awesome! i need to do this more often.

all smarta$$ness aside, i think it is a very nice truck but man that dude is either or not trying to sell it. with the confidence he answered that ? with i say he's not wanting to sell it.

what are the listing fees on a 20,000+ opening bid though .

Is it just a bad pic or does the option sheet look a little fake.

10 Grand maybe ....

CHEVYE ....Listing fees are only about $45 .

I think that truck is worth somewhere in the $10,000 range . Just looking at the pics I think I would give that for it .If I could buy that truck for 10 grand I would sell my current truck and change a few things about that one . I actually like the two tone blue scheme in 77 . I do not like the current wheels though and would change them . I do not think that truck can be built for $10,000 the way it sits but I do think he could have spent his money a little more wisely . Frank

ummm...

Maybe it's just me but if thats is a frame off, it's a very poor one. My stepper only has 69k original miles on it and the undercarriage has never been painted (prolly cause it's been a garage queen) but it looks a hell of a lot better than that. I honestly believe that truck is in the 9k-10k range, it looks decent but nothing more...I personally like N2TRUX truck a lot better (personal opinion) and I'd rather have his SWB or my stepside over that two tone stepper anyday.... BTW does anyone have any idea where the 56k came into his head????

i'm glad to see these trucks going for good money . if a guy were to invest a few $$$ and pick up 3 or 4 swb trucks and keep them in good shape, he could make a few bucks in a couple of years. right now i can pick up clean swb trucks around here for $1500-$3000. i caught a guy about to go to prison for 8 years and bought my 84 from his wife last year. he just rebuilt the 454 in it. it has a/c, 15 billet specialties wheels and a cowl induction hood. she even gave me a $450 receipt for the new dual exh/flowmasters. she sold me the truck for $1500 .

you can tell Ken's truck is a 20-25k truck because it is a clean frame off and is kept clean. i would probably go in the 8k range for the blue one.
