Re: anyone have pics of a wrecked c10?

This wont do you any good either.....I am looking for the good pictures now.
BUT.........every side front and rear looked like this after the wreck. All suspension was shot, broke or bent. Battery just about completly went through the hood. Spare tire was 200ft down the road.

I didnt even get a headache, but it sure was a shame!!!!!

Oh yea......and that was a REAL/ORIGINAL ..."USA-1" front tag!!!!! It didnt survive either

Look at the bright side. The steering wheel still looks straight! Looks like the only part that survived the train! Glad you didn't get hurt, that could have been really BAD! ...Joe

Yes I am very lucky and am quite aware of that. I work in a hospital and see the results of vehicle wrecks all the time. I had hunted for the right Burb for over a year and found that one locally which was a one owner with only 80,000 original miles/140,000 kms on it and only had it for a month when the accident happened.

Re: anyone have pics of a wrecked c10?

Tell them you woke up one morning (afternoon) after a long night of drinking and went outside to check on your truck. (Yours is very nice, by the way) It was right where you left it, but you were wondering who tinted your windows. After the fog in your head cleared, you opened the truck door and remembered not only were you sipping 151 out of a mason jar, but you had started smoking again.

Some of this story is true, but a few of the names and most of the facts had to be changed to protect my innocence.

And yes, I did cry a little that morning.

Re: anyone have pics of a wrecked c10?

So, what happened to cause the fire? Was it electrical in origin? That is my fear...that all the work that is done is wiped out because of a bad electrical connection that sparks. Looks like the gas tank added fuel to the fire, too. Or, is that the source of the initial fire? Sux, huh?

As for the train wreck....even if you and the train get to the same place at the same time (a tie), the train will win.....every time. It's amazing how complacent people can be when they live near railroad crossings, as I do (less than a mile). There are days (like today) when I can honestly say I don't remember hearing any trains. But these tracks are what moves trains north from Laredo, via Longview, TX. I have seen days when trains passed every 15 minutes....all day long.
