Head light bezel help

Ok I've tried searching the interwebs and on here aaannnndddd the internet over lords hate me today.... So here goes: I've got a 1971 GMC K2500... I have no idea what happened to the original grill, but I have a suspicion it was chopped up previously. At some point it got this wierd chrome tube set up (not my style, but to each their own) I've got another doner that looks pretty good a few minor dings and small other blemishes but 20 bucks and it wasn't going to get passed up on. Either way my question is are the head light bezels "ambidextrous" can they be on either side? or is left - left and right-right and "never the two shall swap"? Because in the factory replacement I got both of my bezels will fit the passenger side but neither fits the driver's side correctly and the previous grill had extra holes drilled in the driver's side to accommodate this miss match or? Whatever the case/reason. Any help would be greatly appreciated. TIA.

Re: Head light bezel help

Everything I can find online sells them in pairs, so apparently they do not swap.

this is right side only, so no they don't swap.

Re: Head light bezel help

To everyone who has posted already... You are 100% correct, they do not swap. I got super lucky today and went to my local yard, they happened to have a 68 GMC they got about a week ago and luckily it had the original bezels, and I scored the split rear window too!!(not installed yet)

Re: Head light bezel help

Looks nice.

Back years ago when my uncle still owned the 71 I have my aunt wrecked it and the only parts I could find were Chevy. The tube grill was an assemble it yourself grill at the parts house I worked at part time. Years later after my aunt gave me the truck with a dead engine in it I swapped engines and got it running and painted the then rusty grill black. later I found a later model GMC grill out by my mailbox and an hour later I had a one off 71 GMC nose.
