Work Truck?
Anyone got pics of 67-72 work trucks? I am looking at picking up a '72 C10 2wd short bed that has a utility bed/storage compartments box on the back end. It is the medium olive color. I was running errands this afternoon and noticed it for sale. It is an old service truck that I have had my eye on for the past five years or so. I think it is pretty cool and can imagine what it could look like. My wife says "that thing is ugly!" This from the person I gave a New Beetle for her birthday last year.
Post pics if you got 'em!

Ask Krue, his truck had it when he bought it.

Special-K, That's interesting! The truck that I am looking at is the same color green with very similar box and rack. It is a 2wd short bed half ton. (But other than that, it's basically identical!) It has a 307 V8, 3 on the tree, and 4.11 rear end. It also has the spot light in the driver's a-pillar.

Re: Work Truck?
Cool!Krue`s truck had those boxes that replace the fenders on Stepsides.I`d give my left hand monkey wrench for a nice pair of those. Most of those shortbed work horses were cable/phone service vehicles. My short 4wd project would be cool with a utility body.
Hey Subtle71,I`d like to see that little worker. My K/20 looks short with that body and tires, almost.

Re: Work Truck?
Yeah I had gotten Krue's boxes when he removed then. I patched and cleaned them up. I was going to use them for a trailer, but ended up donating them to a guy at the church that needed them for work. We ended up putting them on a S10 and madea floor between the boxes so he could get back to work.

Re: Work Truck?
Here is a pic I took this evening of the little work truck. I don't know if I want to buy it or not. If anyone wants info, pm me. The truck is located in Brookhaven, Mississippi and the owner wants $1800. It has a 307 V8 with 3 speed on the column. Body is in typical shape (for humid southern MS) with rusted out rockers, inner fender wells, and rain gutters. Drivetrain is solid.
