From the RockAuto newsletter:

Retired as a factory automation products salesman.
Worked part-time over the years for an engine builder and a classic car repair shop.

Was going to guess D, but I'll check off C, in his garage. WW ban? Seems awfully bigly. I suppose they could do that, by cutting off the development. What do I know; currently explaining to an old lab I'll be gone twice as long this time, and why it's twice as long.

I haven't searched about what other things that the guy developed that solved engineering problems, and remained in use. Must have done some good?
