Check out this 1972 show truck

Prescott car show, had to share this. I asked if he was on any forums, he doesn't have a computer, so doubt anyone has seen it.

I like the filler location as well. Have not seen that before. Why did I not know there was a show in Prescott? Oh well, next time.

That filler is slick, I'm not sure I've seen one right there before

Where is the filler tube located though ? Do you see it if you look in the wheel well ? Beautiful ride though...

I'd be too afraid to put gas in it. He probably lays a towel over the bed to do it. Beautiful truck.

Sweet truck and like everyone I like the filler location versus it being anywhere on the outside of the bed IMO. Although he has to be extra careful.

Re: Check out this 1972 show truck

Nice looking ride. The filler location was done very nicely. And since it really is a show truck, why not have it right there.

For drivers I prefer outside the bed access somewhere.

Re: Check out this 1972 show truck

What a beautiful truck - thanks for sharing. He even included the body/style line from the wheel tub around the filler door - a small, but very nice detail. Interior is very clean and nicely done. I dig the door panels!

Re: Check out this 1972 show truck

The fact that he doesn't have a computer explains how he had time to build the truck.

Ha! That's what my first thought was. Also, the OP's comment, "...so I doubt anyone has seen it before", made me think. I've seen a lot of things in the real world I never saw online. Everything real you see online exists in the real world. But I get if it's a show truck you don't see it much at all anywhere.

The filler door is a great custom touch and well executed. The filler tube would have to be in the fender well and I am sure you can't see it unless you are looking for it. For a truck that gets driven, the filler inside the bed anywhere done in any way is not such a good design, even if you never haul a thing. Watch that paint!

This truck had a lot of thought put into it and it shows, in very subtle tasteful ways. Full custom with a generally factory look. The original beauty was respected while enhancements are seen throughout
