Lead Additive! The real stuff is back!!! Tetraethyl lead

I found a supplier for Lead additive that has Octane Supreme 130 that wasnt available for a few years as the owner died and no one wanted to take over the business. But now they are back up and running!!! This was the best stuff that I ever found for additive. Here is the best price I found... if you find a better price let me know!!!

Now I can start mixing my race fuel again using nitro, jet fuel and sunoco! Burns hot as hell so you gotta watch your plugs but talk about power!

Year One [or was it the Paddock?] used to sell Real Lead by the quart for about $15. One quart covered 20 gallons [same as a Chevy truck tank -- coincidence?].

Why would you use Jet fuel? that's basically a hot stove oil, I mean it's diesel after all.

Re: Lead Additive! The real stuff is back!!! Tetraethyl lead

I call it jet fuel but aviation fuel. Sorry poor terminology.... it is a cheap alternative to race fuel but it super "dry" so it burns hot as **** but in a mix the lead acts as a buffer and allows you to run higher compression in boosted or just na high compression engines also the nitro has small amounts of lubricant in it helping out. My dad used to use it when he was big into snowmobile racing... then he played with the mix for his 78 trans am, and i have played with it in boosted engines and super high compression go-cart engines and well you can run more boost/ compression safely. Also in a standard engine on the dyno back when I was in high school, it did pull 9% more power out of a Pontiac 400 motor and the only change was running the mix fuel.

AVGas I usually use the 100LL (most accessible) blue in color
but when I can get 100/130 green in color i get this even higher lead (4g per gallon)
