I sure could use more room in my garage. More room for more junk!

Re: Hey Boise69

All that stuff on the shelves remind me of my shop. Maybe that's why I can never find anything.

Re: Hey Boise69

hey corn, i didn't see this post, thanks for the lowering, but i actually like its height plus my tires already rub, so i'm buying new tries and rims for her in the spring and i have to figure out the best size and back spacing for it.

See all that crap on the shelves, thats from all my sisters needing extra space for their crap. ALL that stuff is being sold at a grage sale in the spring and all that $$$ is going to pay for my truck needs. I inherited a dress shop from an aunt i hardly knew so 4 crates filled with new dresses should pay for a beautiful paint job and rid me of even more crap.

See that boat? I sold that over 14 months ago, the guy paid but never came to pick it up and its sitting in a space intended for my new 2 post lift, but by spring its all going no matter what. I HATE clutter.

well he paid 5,500 for it and dissapeared, i gave him 12 months of free storage but not anymore. its 100/month but i'd rather have the space then the money! Its going back on ebay if he dont show up by april.

its a 1972 buehler jet boat with a 360 HP chrysler inboard 100% re-stored. i bought it to pull behind my 69 but I lost interest in it and have more for my 69 truck and her possibliities.

Re: Hey Boise69

Man that would be a nice boat for all the lakes we have down here. I actually have people do that to me. i had an old dump truck, guy wanted the bed. He came paid, and even came and cut it loose from the truck. But then E.T. most have called him back home. Haven't seen him since. And that has been years ago. And I still have the same old truck just the way he left it. It ia in the lower 40 so it hasn't been a space issue yet.

Re: Hey Boise69

Call him & tell him its sitting outside with a for sale sign on it. Id guess he would get the hint. Then charge him storage when he gets there...

Re: Hey Boise69

is that legal to charge storage without a written agreement?
BTW, my truck WAS that low until 2 weeks ago. I had a cracked lower arm so I went back to stock. now I get nose bleeds from being so far up. LOL

Re: Hey Boise69

comming from the auto maintance/ towing field i can say yes it's legal to charge storage. in my neck of the woods it's actuly $25 a day! any judge will agree that you were more than kind to let the guy store the boat for 14months free. i do hope you have tried to contact the guy a few times though.

I have contacted him, many times, via email and phone calls, he just says "thank you man, you have been so nice keeping it for me, i'll try to get there next month" He says this every month. All i know, legal or not, he's not getting the title or the boat until he pays me the storage. During the summer i brought it to a U-store place and i paid the 75/month out of my pocket and that was 400.00 until i moved it back to my heated warehouse for the winter so it wouldnt crack the block. I'm just sick of it, i really need the space to start working on my truck.

Re: Hey Boise69

i think the time has come to be rude about it. call him and be very clear that if it's not picked up within 2 weeks that you are going to sell it. if he says 3 weeks you tell him NO. there is no point in the idiot dragging you along. also tell him that you expect to be paid for storing it. if he refuses then tell him fine, i'll sell the boat. don't give in and threaten him with legal action if nessasary. any court in this country would agree that you have been more than kind and you are justified in charging him for storage.

Re: Hey Boise69

If you charge storage, make sure and check and see if there is a maximum. When I thought I was going to have to get a Sheriff's title for my truck, I contacted them and got the amounts I could charge. I'm sure you could call any local towing Co. and find out from them also. That may also be overridden if you agreed to a different amount with the guy ahead of time, YMMV.
