67 cab question

QUESTION IS $300 too much to pay for a rust free (needs rockers-dented)67 cab?

A truly "rust free" cab could be worth as much as $1200-$1600! Want proof of this? Just take an old rusty cab to a decent body man and ask him how much he will charge to fix all the rust! Having said that and after having worked on four (4) "rust free" cabs I don't believe there is such a thing. GM never coated the inside of the rockers with anything so they will all have some rust. How much? You could probably inspect one with an eddy current sensor designed to measure metal thickness. They are around the NDI industry. Probably too much work for most of us. For $300...if it looks good go for it...sounds like a real steal!

That would be a steal for $300 up here in Wisconsin!

I second what stllookn said. A truly rust free cab....nah

If its in decent shape $300 is more than fair. However, you can almost be 100% sure it wiil need work.
