14 bolt rear brakes questions???

Got a 88 one ton dual rear wheel CC. I can not get my hand in to even touch the rear brake bleeder fitting because the rear springs are so close to the brake backing plate. The wheel cylinders and all the line must be replaced after a hard life up here in the rust belt. How do you work on the rear brakes? Looks like I have to remove the rear springs. Is this true or is there some secret????

Pull the hubs and then the axles. Of course with all the rust in our area you may need some friendly persuasion ( a sledge) if you know what I mean. there's no way you should have to remove the springs to do any of the rear brake work.

I believe he's referring to accessing the lines and bleeder (and bolts for the wheel cylinder). Its definitely very tight on a cab & chassis rear, but it can be done without pulling the axle. Just need to find the right combination of wrenches (with the correct offset) and have LOTS of patience ...
