Same Wife And Same Car For 60 Years

-
6/27/2024.... Today is the wife and I's 60th Wedding Anniversary. The 1936 Ford Coupe was Pat's dads and he gave it to me in June of 1960. It took me 3 years to get it road worthy at that time. The first picture was taken in 1960 and it shows what the car looked like when I got it. The 2nd picture was taken in 1964 and the 3rd and 4th ones were taken last Sunday, 6/23/2024. Same wife and same car...

It has been a long and interesting journey and we have seen many changes over the years.

The car & truck hobby has netted us many good friends along the way, and we cherish every one of them.. As you get older you look back and wonder where in the world the time has gone, and the older you get the faster it goes. We want to thank everyone for being our friends, whether we have met you in person or not.

Leon & Pat

My wife and I just hit 40 years. You've made it half again as many. That's incredible. Congratulations.

Thanks everyone. We have been very lucky overall during our lifetime. Raised 3 good kids and have had some great adventures. Ups and downs, yes, but the ups out pace the downs by a long shot.

Re: Same Wife And Same Car For 60 Years

Leon,
Congrats!!!
Does it have the inline flathead 6???
A guy in Center Point, bought a 40 Ford coupe, when the original owner passed, in about 1968. It had the inline 6. Although I think he may have transplanted a flat head V8 into it.
Job well done!!!!

Congratulations Leon!!! You should give Pat a big squeeze from all of us here on the truck site.
Cool story about the car.
I know that I’ve been blessed by your friendship.
I sure miss hanging out with the 67-72 folks in KC and at Randy’s place.

It doesn't have the original engine in it. It has a Chevy 327 and a Muncie 4 speed.

I gave her a couple of squeezes today so I have that covered Scott....

Not sure if any of you are familiar with the Iowa Amana Colonies. Here is a little info on them. We went there to eat today.

If you travel through Iowa on I-80 it is a good place to stop.
