More weird Blazer Questions
Has anyone ever seen a bolt in 2" transmission hump on either a Blazer or a pickup? I thought only 4" bolted in but my Blazer has the 2" hump and it bolts in. It is way smaller than the hump in my '72 4x4 Blazer and doesn't have a hole in it for a transfer case. My Blazer gets weirder every day...

All Blazers have a bolt-in hump, so a 2wd would have a short bolt-in hump.

In pickups, the short humps are part of the floor pan. Since most Blazers/Jimmys were 4wd, and they were originally designed as 4wd only, they all have bolt-in humps.

Mine is also an original 2WD body (now 4WD) and it has a bolt in hump. I thought we had verified that they all had bolt-in humps before, but maybe they changed the 2WD floor pan for '71 or '72?

Does the 2wd Blazer low bolt-in hump fit the trucks too? I have a high hump 67' cab that I want to convert to a low hump.

over and out roger dodger Lets reverse this, does any one with a real 2wd Blazer/Jimmy have a bolt in hump? Is there even such a thing as a regular sized bolt in? |

Gee_Emm, He!! yeah! I'm lookin at one! Well, it's real, if not original...
I would like to clear this up though, I think Chevrolet did some screwy things back then (I used to have Corvettes and I have listened to guys argue about whats RIGHT or not and I think Chevy did what they had to to get the things out of the factory...) Mine IS bolted in, it IS short (yeah I can use a tape) and it does NOT have a hole for the transfer case selector... Makes me wonder... but after seeing the work you are doing I realize ANYTHING can be done with these as long as you are willing and able to do it. Tall humps are good for body drop in trucks and blazers gives you more room.
