Reworked vent window, now roll up won't... roll up.

ARGH. Spent the day rebuilding the vent window, replacing rollers on the window actuator, cleaning/lubing regulator, installing new felts, seals, wipers, welding the pivot post back on, welding captured nuts back in...

You'd think the old girl would be happy with the attention?

The drivers side roll up window won't roll up past the lower rear window track. Removed the rear window seal, no good, same same. Made sure the forward seal was set properly in the vent window frame. Yup. All the fasteners are in, nothing looks bent or broken. By all rights, this thing should rocket up and be smooth as a babies butt.

Need some ideas to try. Who's first?

1972 C20, same window parts that came out 2 years ago, at the beginning of the project.

Here's what the window looks like at the point of contact.

Not sure how the rear track is supposed to look, but it looks like the top of the rear track isn't really lined up with where it should be. The upper fastener is tight, though. It's little bracket looks to be right against the screw hole, when I pull it out and look.....

The aft edge of the glass mount hits the lower aft track, just before it makes the jump to the upper door frame, wedging the window in place. I'm not sure I understand what keeps the window in any of the tracks... is there a track that it rides inside for the entire run up and down? I can't remember. I'm a little confused. I wish I was the one that pulled it apart, I might get lucky and remember something.

I've got to go back out to the shop. I'll check back in later, if anyone has seen this before, I could use an idea or three. I'm stumped.

I wonder if I have the left and right glass panels switched? How would I tell?

Is that an original door or aftermarket? I wonder if the upper door frame is curved in at the bottom or down inside the door too far holding the rear track forward. The White arrow is pointing at the area I'm talking about. Also, is the roller that the Red arrow is pointing to, in the track, on the inside of the door?

Where is the track on the bottom of the glass? Could it be too far forward and hitting the felt channel?

Re: Reworked vent window, now roll up won't... roll up.

Thank you, Leon and Justin! Heading out to the shop, will snap a few pics and verify the roller is in the track, the glass if it's shifted in the lower frame, and a wider pic of the door. It's original as much as it's been on the truck since I bought it, in the 90's. While mowing the grass yesterday, I kept wondering if I put the right glass in the right door. Or left. You know what I mean.

I wouldn't think I'd have so much trouble putting all the same parts back together again. Like a dang nursery rhyme!
