60-63 Guys, Emergency Brake Cable Help ??

I have searched this site and found nothing I need on this subject...I am not the best searcher...here is what I got 1962 Chevy C10 with a late 70s 12 bolt rear end, I did this swap 15 years ago and tossed away all the old parts years ago. will the stock 62 rear cables work ?

What e brake cables do I use to hook up to the old linkage? the cables that are in the 12 bolt are way too short

I know someone here has had this issue already

Any info would be really great

Thanks, Brian

My '62 canadian GMC has coil rear , I swapped in a 14 bolt from a 70 something c20 , I used the c20 E brake cables, fabbed some clips to anchor the end of the cable sleeve like the later coil trucks, them made some end to connect to the stock flat bar mechanism and drilled some 3/8 round to slip a piece of salvaged cable from the donor truck measured from the 70s cable to the point my connectors . slipped the cable end thru 3/8 rod measured and brazed the joint, Can't do pics cause the truck is under a snow bank.
hope this helps, post back if I can clarrifly
