Need kick panel rust repair help

Hello all. Still new to the site and loving it. I have a 71 c-20 and have some kick panel floor board rust I need to take care of. I am an accomplished welder but I have never done any body work. I have the kick boards on the truck that have rusted through and need some wisdom. Do they make patches for this, or do I have to free hand the sheet metal to weld in? Or is there a better option. I have attached a few pics they are not great. I would really appriciate some advise from the experts. Thanks

Re: Need kick panel rust repair help

They make kick panel patches and floor patches. Just about every parts vendor sells them. Joseph
