Transmisson Hose Question

What size hose is this that connects to my transmission line and is it a certain kind of hose? My current hose is old and cracked and pours out transmission fluid. Thanks.

Should be 5/16'' and rated for 50 psi. Weather head 10105

Make sure you get one rated for ATF. Ordinary hoses will get soft pretty fast when exposed to ATF.

If you need a weekend project, consider replacing it with a single steel line with no rubber section from trans to rad. I've had rubber trans hoses leave me stranded twice.

Xs 3 it should be steel all the way, that rubber line is a splice repair when someone had the radiator out or replaced and couldn't get the lines off the trans cooler. It's a cheap repair to replace and compared to some applications it's relativly easy as there's lots of room to get at it.

Also, how hard are the lines to change out? Anything else I would need besides the lines themself to get them changed out? Anyone tried the transmission lines from Inline Tube?

I bought rolls of stainless, tube nuts, and a hydraulic flaring tool. You don't need to go all out. In fact you can cheat!

Figure out the total length with a tailor's tape measure or something flexible once it's all installed with the rubber part too. Let's say it's 54".

Go to your local auto parts store and they'll have sections of pipe with nuts already on in varying lengths and diameters. Get the one that matches the best for length, bend it carefully with a tubing bender. Maybe take the small section from the radiator end with you to make sure you get the right pipe diameter with the right nuts.

That saves you cutting, flaring, all of that. And no investment in tools.
