Saddle tanks

OK ok I know this seems silly, but how do you determine which is the right and which is the left tank? sitting in the drivers seat or looking at the truck from the front end?

Thanks

Re: Saddle tanks

I think generally drivers side=L, passenger side=R, or in other words sitting in the vehicle

Tanks are identical, but fuel pickup modules are side specific. Like the other gent stated driver side is Left, passenger is Right. And I am mean here in USA, not down under!

Left and Right are always from the drivers seat facing forward. I used to get that mixed up too lol.

And this is for ANYTHING on the vehicle. The driver's side headlight is the left headlight, the right front tire is on the passenger side. When you're ordering axle shafts, the left axle shaft is the one that extends towards the driver's side.

Think of it as the VEHICLE'S left and right. In much the same way that when you're looking at a person, that person's left and right arms don't change depending on which way you're looking at them. The vehicles left side doesn't change just because you're looking at it from the opposite direction.
