1st 67-68 Chevy Repro Grille Install

Heres a pic of the 1st 67-68 Chevy grille during its test fit installation into a 68 Suburban. We also installed it in a 67 Chevy truck and a front clip assembled from all reproduction parts from Tri-Plus. I'm happy to say it was as easy as installing OEM. The grille mounting points all ligned up in all 3 installations without having to elongate or open any holes, all trim pieces, hood latching mechanism, lower splash shield, braces, etc....all lined up great.
I'm also happy to say all double radiused curves are smooth and wrinkle free with body lines being crisp and clean, inside open radiuses had no tears or distortions from stamping.

Re: 1st 67-68 Chevy Repro Grille Install

Man, thats great news. Sure would be nice to install an aftermarket piece and not tweak it. Be prepared for a flood of orders.

I've ordered a bunch of stuff from you guys and I've always be happy with every purchase and I ain't finished yet, waiting on an order right now.

One question, will they ever reproduce the firewall grommets in a kit for the 67 thru 72 trucks?

I wouldn't liquidate quite yet Bishop, these things might very well come in with a pretty price tag on them. I've got three myself and I'm planning on selling one, but I'm just guessing that these new ones are going to be in the $300-$400 range. If so, my nice rust/dent free ones are still worth $100-$125. .....Jerry

Good to hear that they fit well Paul. Thanks for the first hand information. ...........Jerry

Hey Jerry,
I'm a packrat when it comes to parts. I'm not getting rid of any of them. I'm going to take them and have them blasted and primed and store them away for future use.

Good deal, I've got 2 really nice ones for my truck and my son's new project truck and 1 extra. I wish I had more room to "pack" stuff away.

Re: 1st 67-68 Chevy Repro Grille Install

In regards to how soon will they be available heres the reply from manufacturer on when 1st container will be ready to ship
""The shipment will be effected end of May to mid of June, 2007.""
Then 4-6 weeks by boat & time to clear customs and arrive at warehouse= Mid-July should be available, were trying to get wholesale price FOB Taiwan right now so that we can add shipping costs & customs duties to them to determine what our cost is to set retail prices. Once we determine the price we will offer these for sale with all pre-arrival orders shipping as soon as container is delivered.

Re: 1st 67-68 Chevy Repro Grille Install

1969k10stepside We will be attending Super Chevy this year in our usual location, if one of those 1 tons is a GMC I might be interested, I've promised myself to downsize to try to get the rest done but I don't have a 67 GMC 1ton yet so if the body & frame are decent I would be interested.
