5.3 into 98 sierra

just picked a 5.3 out of the boneyard, said 220 000kms on the ticker, water in the cylinders and rusted to eff....boo.

moving into the new garage in a cpl weeks and then ill start cleaning it up, putting it back together and getting ready for the transplant. out comes the 5.7l vortech (done the trick and will be rebuild for later use) and drop in the new powerplant.

just figured i'd throw out the announcement! haha

Re: 5.3 into 98 sierra

for sure! the 5.3 ended up needing more work then its worth for what i want with this truck. so its gonna be put aside for now and im now looking for an lq9 6.0L instead. also currently waiting for a 4l60e rebuild kit, corvette servos, shift kit and new verter so ill post that stuff when i do the tranny rebuild. for $250 in parts im hoping it doesnt blow up haha. but if, and more likely when, it does a 4l80e shall take its place.
