Equal.....for tires.

Gonna try it before I order the new tires. May help me decide what to get if this stuff works. Only drove it a short distance and not sure all the bags had broken but it had smoothed out pretty good. If this stuff works, I may just order some 38's same style that I have. TSL/SX's.

Everything I have have heard about it is great. It seems to work very well.

I dunno though...I don't care how big they are, I've never seen a tire I couldn't balance the old fashioned way. I do know there are some tires out there now I have never worked on though

I had run it in my semis for years. Its not only the smooth ride but the way the tires wear so even that the tires can be run longer with no flat spots. I run it in all 10 tires just for that reason.

I have it on the tires I just bought for the dually, the tire store swears by it on larger tires. Havent ran them yet so I'm hoping it works, sure is nice not having ugly weights showing on new rims.

I've had some RV'ers running equal in thier motorhomes with 19.5 or 22.5 rims with pretty good success. Only problem I see on a truck that *might* see off road is when you air down. Most of the time they have the filters for the valve stems to keep from blowing the equal out, but if you didn't get the filters and air down, there goes some of the powder. Or if you pop a bead off road you could loose a good amount too. On the flip side when you air back up after you get off the trail you better hope your air source is moisture free. Otherwise your equal is going to clump up. It might break up after a while or not.

I've just found it's great for a tire that stays on the road, using it in an off road tire that goes off road might have some extra problems you got to watch for.

As far as moisture in the tires I had heard that was one of the big drawbacks of using Equal so I went to there website and read this.

EQUAL Tire Performance does NOT ABSORB water in any way.
Due to the fact that EQUAL is a plastic polymer granule, water or moisture will not change its composition.
Moisture that accumulates inside the tire will evaporate due to normal driving conditions and therefore is in contact with EQUAL for a very short time.
EQUAL, when in contact with large amounts of water, (to the point where it is actually floating freely), will do just that, float. This will interfere with the ability of EQUAL to optimize the given tire in the way that the tire dealer or fleet had intended when installing the product. Simply, this means that although EQUAL will never damage the tire in any way, if it is in contact with large amounts of water, it cannot perform its job. Again, it is important to reiterate, that in most cases, moisture will evaporate due to the heat build up in normal driving, and once the moisture has evaporated, EQUAL will perform as it originally did.

My ears are on.I have some 37" SSRs to mount on 9.75 OEM-centers(heavy)and planned on looking into this stuff.CrashEd`s comments have me sold already.I never could get any word on it around here.My truckin`neighbor is opinionated(usually against mine)and he had all his reasons he`s not messing with it.I took all that to mean he don`t spend an extra penny if he can get away with it.

I have only driven it about 4 miles so not sure that all the bags have broken yet. In those four miles I could feel the tires getting smoother. I will keep you all updated. It was 10 bucks a bag.

I decided to take the plunge and try it. I'm glad I did. It works as advertised...super smooth ride. The neat thing is that I'll never have to balance the tire again.

I Ran Equal In My 42 Iroks And It Made A Huge Difference For About 5k Miles,then It Seemed Like They Got Worse.broke The Tires Down And It Had Turned To About 10 Huge Clumps/balls Inside The Tire!i Know They Say It Wont Clump,but It Did For Me.i Know I Used Some Undried Air A Few Times To Air Up.plus Spend A Lot Of Time In Mud And Water.there Is A Company/product Called Dyna Beads,i Dont Think They Would Clump As Bad.then Again,ive Just Got About 10 Ounces Of Copper Bbs In Mine Now And They Work Really Good Too.

oh yeah,been to lima every year for the last 5,been to indy last 5.its been on a few diff sites:ls1 tech,ck5,b and c offroad,hell im not sure,the pic on the b and c site just showed up and a friend told me about it.dont know where they got the shot.all the info was correct???strange?
