Tire siping [spelling?]
Has anyone siped there tires? does it work?

I sipe all of mine. In fact most truck owners in western MT do. Claims of siping are: opens up the tread for more biting edges for ice and lowers tire temp for longevity. May also aleaviate some funny tread wear due to woren steering and front end components. But siping may allow chunking of the tread block when wheeling hard. This is why I don't sipe all the way to the outer edge of the tread. Works best when weight is added to the bed.
