I am working on the final disassembly of the '69 C-10. The first picture is a year ago when I was driving it. The cowl and cab inner roof were really rusty so I decided to "borrow" some parts off of it for the '71 4x4. I finally decided to rip it apart and put the sheet metal from the blue '67 3/4 ton (third pic) on the '69 1/2 ton frame. I need a good truck to pull my new trailer with and I figure this will fill the bill. I was going to shorten the frame while I had it apart but I changed my mind, since I will be using it to pull the trailer and haul parts.

I will update this thread as I progress on this but there may be some delays. I'm working on a couple of other projects at the same time…

that's an interesting approach! don't think I've ever seen one taken from the middle like that.

Ummm, is there anything you don't do Leon? I'm going to take a cruise up there and have you do my truck in...say...a weekend?

An update on this project. I finished removing the rest of the pieces off of the frame today and I pressure washed it after these pictures were taken. It was cold and rainy today but I wanted to get this done. I had a delay last week so I could help my friend Ron remove the 4" lift blocks from the front and rear of his '69 4x4. We also replaced the radiator and front springs while we had it in the shop.

Now I can start tearing the '67 apart...
