67 gmc 4x4
Well my 67 gmc finally arrived at my house today. It is going to be a neat truck to restore. It is a super custom with buddy buckets, air conditioning and a 305 v6. The truck runs and drives good. It has got to be a fairly unusual truck.

Re: 67 gmc 4x4
Glad to see it finally made it home! I know you've been waiting awhile. Feels good doesn't it?!
Lets see, big back window 67, buddies, AC, Super custom, 4spd, 4x4, It doesn't get any better than that!! Wanna trade? Let me know what the 305 V6 4spd combo is like. That was the only engine available in a 67 GMC 4x4 btw.

Re: 67 gmc 4x4
Thanks for all of the replies. I will take some better pictures tomorrow.
I first saw this truck for sale back last march. I finally bought the truck in november. I drove the truck down the road I live on today. The speedometer is not working so I don't know how fast I was going. I am going to look at that tomorrow. When I get that fixed I will get up to speed to check the high gear rpm, but as of now it seems to be alright. It is no racer but good low end torque. I did not want to go very far. The right front spring shackle is broken, and the drivers side motor mount looks like it has been broke and welded back. Vintage, when you have time pm me a pic of the drivers side mount on your truck. That is the only way I can tell what it is supposed to look like. (Glad to have another v6 4x4 for reference.) It looks like that mount has the engine sitting high on the drivers side which in turn has the passenger side valve cover very close to the firewall. Man I would love to have that power steering off of your truck. Last edited by 75gmc454; 02-02-2011 at 11:50 PM. |

Re: 67 gmc 4x4
That is definitely a very special truck. It is rare. '67 SWB K/10s are low production. If it was a CST Cheyy it would be rare. Figure the way smaller portion of GMCs and yours being a Super Custom with a/c. That's a very special truck.
ps:All Super Customs had bucket seats.

Rare. I like everything but back window. small back windows IMO are the coolest. Sweet truck though.

Re: 67 gmc 4x4
Awesome! Everything about that truck is cool, and I personally would restore it back to original. Since it is so unique to a degree, what with the V6 still in it and the seats.
Looking forward to seeing more pics of it! Congrats!

Re: 67 gmc 4x4
Thanks for all of the comments. I have a few more pics of the truck but I forgot to change them over ot vga format.
On this truck the rear leaf springs are only two leaves like the front. Were all 67's like that? I was told this truck was bought new by a grape farmer in California. It doesnt look like it was used too much on the highway, just around the farm. It still has the original windshield that is soft ray and all other glasses are tinted also, and the pedals are not worn very much. Last edited by 75gmc454; 02-03-2011 at 11:47 PM. |

Re: 67 gmc 4x4
Clint,
I assume this has a wood bed floor? I'll take some pictures of the engine mount on mine but it also looks like the valve cover is close to the firewall. Does yours have traces of a lockout hub info sticker on the glovebox and transfer case instructions on the ceiling like mine? Also, I'd like to see your rearview mirror mount to see if it compares with mine. Did you find the buildsheet yet? jud

Re: 67 gmc 4x4
The truck does have a wood bed floor. The sticker is good that is on the ceiling, but there are no traces of a sticker ever being on the glovebox. Someone has taken the rear view mirror in my truck. But the mounting holes are still there. Here is a pic of the mount location and the 4x4 sticker:

Re: 67 gmc 4x4
in 67 the knobs .sun visor clips, rear view mirror bracket, inside window crank adn door handle the out side door handels ,the vent windows, the glove box door ,and that is about it so if you are missing anything above it is going to be alot tougher to find 67s are like 68s but at the same time theey are almost a one off year
