Yep, I agree totally, much cleaner flowing design. Pre '73, GM farmed these out to aftermarket builders who believed styling was not important. Most used (4) front doors.

The farmed out 4 doors have a lot more leg room I would bet. I kinda like 'em too.

15k for a cab, can you say sticker shock!!! I'm sure it's worth every penny to have a rust free primmerd crew cab with glass. Couldn't think of a better start to a project.

I prefer the period style as well. But either it is a lot of work to build the cab. But building up a door is a project in itself.
Posted a request on how much the strech actually was but no reply so far. The Scott-Built style added 42" and a 1000lbs (800 cab 200 frame). Funny thing is they are still made with four front doors by KW and IH.
