1956 rear tub?
hi everyone i am gonna put 31 16.50x 15 tires on the back of my 56 3100 stepside tires just came bed side a small amount. what does anyone have for pics/ideas for a small wheel tub. the ones CPP sell would work but where they are fiberglass i am worried about chips(if i take it to the drag strip sticky tires). i will be using wood bed floor.

late 70's early 80' chevy wide bed cut the wheel wells out works good or 55 gal drums cut in half

What rear end are you using for the tires to be in so far?? would like to put some big tires like that in my 56 any pic of the tub work...

I used a pair of early 60"s tubs and cut them down to about 8".

I went to the local tractor supply,bought a trailer fender and modified it. Then bought a stock angle bracket and mitered it to fit around the mini-tub.

thanks everyone. i am using a narrowed 9" 56" wide drum to drum. lakester you idea i will check into as the trailer fender are reasonably priced around here. do you have yours finished yet? i would make mine so they bolt on i think.

I was going to use the 58-59 fleetsides, but have since decided to go with 67-72 suburban wheel wells. They will have to do cut down, but I like the radius and they have a similar flange on them like the bedsides.

orrieg the 55-59chev panel ones have flange like 67-72 burbs.
