Is this right? Heater, A/C vacuum line.
This is what the vacuum lines look like on my 72 GMC. Are there only suppose to be 2 lines connected? What is the other one for?

That is the right hookup for your truck. The three port switches were used in the earlier trucks but will work in yours if the one port is plugged.
Attached are the vacuum schematics, the first one applies to your setup and the second one applies to the three port switch. Jim |

Where can I get a new or good vacum control switch. Mine is messed up beyond repair. Any vendors have these without buying the entire A/C control assembly?

Re: Is this right? Heater, A/C vacuum line.
A while back when I needed one for my truck the only place I could find one was from a guy who bought a new AC control for his aftermarket AC system which didn't use this vacuum "thing" and was willing to sell it to me for my factory AC.

Re: Is this right? Heater, A/C vacuum line.
I bought a brand new one a year ago from Ricks pickup parts in AZ (****************.com). They remove them from the control assemblys when they install a vintage air A/C systems in trucks they restore. They said they had a bunch at that time. It was the 3 port version and was $15 plus a little shipping.
Good luck Jeff
