the power booster/master cylinder combo I bought has a longer brake rod than the old one, are there different mounts? (shorter/longer) I can't use this booster with the mount that is on my truck, instead of returning it and then being faced with trying to find a booster with a shorter rod......will I come out ahead chasing down a different bracket or booster?

Not sure what ya paid for the one ya got but did you see the ones mbgmike is selling? Maybe he offers just the booster assembly, dunno.

Mikes a good guy too, he helped track down some parts for a buddy's 50 belair.
