C20 coil spring limits

I know the rear coils on my C20 are probably worn out. How much weight should they be able to handle before settling down enough to touch the helper springs, if that is even a known number? I had a bunch of feed and stall shavings on it the other day, and it was down to the helpers. The total weight was about 1200 pounds. Oh, and I almost forgot to add the 22 pound bag of cat food I threw on.
