Cool cowl hood

Anybody out there ever heard of a 64 style cowl hood??

BTW I really dig all the pictures and how to's you guys post here...thnaks for all the great reading and awesome ideas.

Does anybody make a steel cowl hood or only fiberglass? Is this something I would have to do myself?

Only fiberglass, some companies sell just he cowl section you weld in, or build your own.

this cowl is off a late 80s fox body mustang its fiberglassed on to the hood

From what we've seen and read here on this forum, the fiberglass body parts leave a lot to be desired. What I would do is weld on a steel scoop like one of these....

Yep, my brother had one,(FG) and it was so bad he went back and built a steel one.

I'm doing steel since i'm doing a one off.
