Whats it Weigh?

Anybody know what the curb weight of my 1966 short step is with a SBC?
I've googled the hell out of it and I've got between 4,000-5,000

Re: Whats it Weigh?

The first time I weighed my 63, it weighed in at 3,840lbs (but I can't remember if that was with me or not, I think it was, I'm 180) Split was 58.85% front 41.15% rear. It had a alum LS1 in it but a super extra heavy 4L80E trans. The 80E on a pallet weighed 275lbs. So if you are running a TH350, the weight most likely would be close to a wash.

This was with steel wheels with 275/50/15 tires all the way around, heater, bench seat, power steering, all wood in bed but a touch light on gas.

Second time weighing it, it came in at 3,900 (55.4% / 44.6%). This was with me in it, full tank of gas, minus heater, manual box back in it, no front bumper and with draglites running a 205/60/15 in the front on a 6" wheel and a 30x14.50 ET street on the rear with a 12" wheel and about 100lbs added to the tail gate.

This was on two different scales.

Re: Whats it Weigh?

Go to a truck stop/travel center like Pilot, T/A, these all have a truck scale. You can find your exact weight using their scales.
