Probably a dumb question, but have to ask someone: '67 Chevy C20 - New '71 Disk Brake conversion, under truck installing sway bar & noticed drip coming from apparently new wheel bearings. This is New Orleans area - temp in 60's to 70's. I used Mobil 1 synthetic wheel bearing grease. Just never noticed with other jobs it "leak" like this. Basically a drip (as seen in pictures) coming down new rotors to inside wheel and down tires. Weird.

I think I'd be checking the brake line connections to see that they aren't leaking. If the Mobil 1 were "leaking" it seems that it would have a reddish tint to it.

As Homer Simpson would say "Dooh!" But I haven't connected the brake lines to calipers yet and still have plugs in line fittings. Some fluid in new calipers maybe the culprit, but they are dry (see pix). Didn't even think new calipers had anything in them. Oh well, more to get done and connected with steering yet too. But I will keep an eye on this. Thanks guys.

That isn't right. Wheel bearing grease in my experience, doesn't drip.

Perhaps the fluid is coming from the disconnected brake line? Feel around above the rotor/hub with a clean white cloth and see if there's a source running down from above.

Probably something simple.

In the photo on the left, it appears there is fluid that has dribbled down from somewhere. looks a little shiny although it may just be the photo itself.

Probably just the coating on the new rotors now that they are vertical instead of sitting flat in a box. Looks lie it's coming out of the vented part. OR without turning the wheel, remove it and see if there is a drip line on the outside coming down the face of the rotor

Yah, I did clean the rotors with acetone & brake cleaner to remove the cosmoline; that may have been the small drip drip from inside rotors. I have been under truck most of morning with steering assembly (tie rods and all,) and have not seen any more. Thank you KWMech.

Now to figure-out or get response to other post about torque on power steering control valve and cylinder?
