Which truck to keep?

I have to sale one of my trucks. One is a Red-Orange 1972 C10 Cheyenne Super SWB with AM/FM. The other is Red 1972 C10 Cheyenne shortbed step with working A/C. Both truck's are in similar condition and options. What do you guys think?

Re: Which truck to keep?

I'm biased, just like everyone on this forum. I'd keep the stepside. Fleets are everywhere!

Re: Which truck to keep?

I wouldn't sail a truck, it will sink.

If you are looking to sell one of those trucks, the short fleet will bring you the most money If they are in the same condition.

It's funny how many people say sale when they mean sell. But it wouldn't sink unless you were to sail it.

I'd keep whatever one I liked most.

Re: Which truck to keep?

Technically, if it was sailing, it be sailing, not sinking. However, if you attempted to sail a truck, it would sink...unless, of course, you had some serious pontoon mods going on

Re: Which truck to keep?

If it's a "need a parking space" situation, I'd keep the Super. "Need Money!" situation I'd guess the Super would bring a bit more and send it down the road.

I wouldn't kick either out of my garage for dripping a little oil though..

Re: Which truck to keep?

I would sell the step side. The fleet super is more desirable IMO. If you ever get yourself into a bind again you will own the truck that will be the easiest to sell.

Re: Which truck to keep?

Definitely need pics. With no other info, keep the one you like best and sail -- er, sale -- no, make that sell the other one!

Thanks for everyone's replies. Here are some pictures. The stepside is currently lowered 3/4 with 20" wheels.

Re: Which truck to keep?

Just remember, its a lot easier to change beds than it is to change to AC.
Also, you could change beds before you sell and have a short fleet with AC
