Im getting ready to order up a mustang II front end for my 59 GMC 100 but dont know whether to go with the regular stock spindles or 2 inch drop? How much lower will the mustang II suspension with regular spindles be compared to the stock solid axle? I want to go low but now extremely low.. and i plan to flip the axle over the leaf springs in the back with a mild frame notch so i would like to plan it out so my truck will be level. Heres a pic of what it looks like right now..

i'm in the middle of installing a MII on my 56 chevy. I went with stock spindles as I did not want to lower the truck at all.
Here's a pic of the truck before.

Got a TCI kit with six lug hubs so I can run the same tires and wheels as before.

but i am still expecting a drop at the front end of 3/4 to 1 inch after the conversion.
Will take a leaf out of the rear to drop it an equal amount to level it.

Haha ya good guess 53 willys CJ-3A.. Just got the original flat head rebuilt and put back in the jeep and its running like a charm! Took a break on it to work on my 59 tho

I just installed a mustang II front I was told by TCI that it would lower my front 2" with the stock height spindles .I would think if you flipped the axle in the rear it would be best to use the drop spindles as flipping the axle will lower the rear 4"-6" depending on your perches and springs.Hey cool jeep too!!
