Bed bolt hole

Im in the process of trying to get my wood bed put together. Does a bed bolt (carriage bolt) go through the part circled in the picture or is it held on by another type of bolt? Thanks.

Re: Bed bolt hole

I’ll venture a guess, since there is a bracket to support the bed wood I’ll guess carriage bolt
