When doing rust repair on a blazer is it better to leave the top bolted on? I want to start on my blazer and want to know if I should leave the top on or not.

From what I've read the answer is yes, it will help keep everything from shifting once you start cutting rusty parts out.

I supported my windshield from the rafters,put a brace across the door opening and took lots of measurements, then I cut out one side of the floorboard, leaving the other side in tact. Seems to work, as my new door opens and closes as it should. I even had the whole bed floor out at this time, just keep hanging your door to make sure it fits before you do your final welding!!! Jim
