2010 L99/6L80E swap into 95 C1500 Silverado
Finally pulled the trigger on doing an LS swap and wanted to share the build. I hope any or all of this information may help someone else.

Here is a snapshot of the odometer prior to pulling the 5.7L and 4L60E that was in the truck.

As you can see, it was time for a cleanup at the very least.

Here is the donor powerplant. It is a 6.2L, L99/6L80E from a 2010 Camaro SS with a little over 14K miles.

Very well done! If you do a search on HPTuners for "bluecat transmission". There's a tool on there that you can download that really helps with fine tuning the A4's and A6 transmission. Do you plan on installing TUTD?

Dec010974,
If I can do this swap you can certainly handle the L92 swap, especially if you keep the 4L60. The hardest part of mine was trying to tap into the existing parts and gauges with the CANbus comms the donor uses. Dakota Digital makes some really nice things to help this happen.

Re: 2010 L99/6L80E swap into 95 C1500 Silverado
Hart_Rod,
Like the username. I should have chosen not to use my email address for mine since I no longer have a 66 C10, nor to end the confusion on the doubleds part. Which is an old nickname from dart league, I could throw doubles all night long and the ds is my initials. Sounds more like a boob joke, but alas, I digress. I will check out the useful info you provided for the transmission tuning. I plan on upgrading to a locker rear end after the first of the year. Followed shortly by adding cruise control. Then I might try to tackle the TUTD shifting, but I have to make money to spend it... Thanks for the kind words on the build.

Faribran,
Thank you for the kudos. It took twice as long as I planned, but I managed to get it on the road in 16 weeks while working 50 hours a week at my job.

This is a picture of the VSS mounted on the rearend for the 40 tooth reluctor kit form jagsthatrun. I had to modify the connector to fit after modifying the bracket. The modified sensor they sell would work the best if not modifying the connector yourself.

Re: 2010 L99/6L80E swap into 95 C1500 Silverado
I haven't installed it yet. I let one of my friends try it for his son's 5.3 swap. Not sure how that panned out. The swap is done but the truck is put back together yet to drive.
Has any one else tried it? I just started posting again. It is amazing how much is forgotten once life resumes after a build.
