rear diff question

I have an 87r10 with a 10 bolt anyone know what gears come in it and I would like to put some gears in it but I don't know what gears are right for me its a 350 tbi with headers full exhaust daily driver any ideas?

Odds are the gear will be a set of 3.08s. You did not state what you have for a tranny. The other gear ratio that was popular was 3.42s.

If you want a truck with some grunt and traction, then I would either go with the 3.42 ratio or even step up to a 3.73 set of gears. You will probably have some issues with what size of gear set that 10 bolot will support.
