How many Cross Sills on a 70 chevy long bed stepside? im counting 5+1 reinforcement?
hey all, just wondering how many cross sills yall are coming up with when counting the cross sills under the bed that support the bedwood/bedstrips? im counting 5 full size with 1 reinforcement sill? is this correct? seems like im shy one or 2

I'm sure you figured it out by now...but for future long step lovers, you are correct. It is 5 cross sills, 1 reinforcement strip, and of course 1 rear sill(big one about 4 in wide). Mar-k has a tech page about them to confirm, and I found that they make all but the rear in stainless in case you are replacing yours.... The rear is cheapest at classicparts.com for steel from what I've seen, since I haven't found that one in stainless.
